A wardrobe that works is mostly repetition. The pieces you actually reach for are few, and they are the ones that go with everything else you own.

Why we repeat

Repeating a pattern lets us improve it. The third cut of a trouser is better than the first because we have seen where it wears, where it strains, and where the fit was too generous. A house that launches sixty new shapes a season never gets that far with any of them.

Newness is easy. Getting a shape right is slow, and the reward arrives quietly.

What that means for you

It means the piece you buy this year will still be in the collection next year, in the same fit. It means we can tell you exactly how something is made, because we have made it before.

It also means we say no to a lot of ideas. That is the part nobody photographs.
